This is a great tour option for people who are not interested in the city portion of the white pass tour and would rather get out and see more of the wildlife and wilderness in Northern Canada.
On this tour we follow the same path the Klondike gold rushers of 1898 by traveling the Klondike Highway. On our journey we will see many waterfalls, the city of Carcross, and parts of British Columbia and the Yukon.
We get great views of the White Pass Train on the other side of the Gorge. As well as everything you would see on our White Pass Summit Tour. Pitchfork Falls and Moore Bridge are 2 highlights. After climbing 3292 to the summit and cross the Canadian border we enter the subarctic alpine tundra of the Tormented valley and see the crystal blue Summit Lake.
We’ll continue through the Awe Inspiring Canadian Scenery of blue lakes and Boreal forests. You will have a great photo opportunity overlooking Lakes Tutshi and Tagish, with the Yukon border sign as your backdrop.
The Yukon is always our best opportunity to encounter wildlife, so we’ll be watching for bears, moose, sheep, and goats.
