This helicopter flightseeing tour with glacier landing will fly you over the massive Juneau Icefield where you will see spectacular rock formations and icefalls. Your experienced pilot will be your glacier guide while viewing awe-inspiring moulins, crevasses, icefalls, ponds and streams on the Herbert Glacier. Your helicopter flight will be narrated by our knowledgeable pilot-guide and upon reaching your destination your pilot-guide will shut down the helicopter and escort you on an informative, relaxing walk while describing the area that surrounds you.
ADA Accessibility:
Our Icefield Excursion is ADA compilable. We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells.
Coastal Helicopters does not have ADA van transportation to and from our facility. Guests that require ADA transportation will need to organize this independently. Coastal Helicopters can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs in our 14 passenger vans. However, guests will be required to get in and out of the vans which require two to three steps. Coastal Helicopters staff are unable to lift guests but can provide a hand or shoulder to assist guests.
